THE DECCA ORIGINALS/VOL.3 TAB 61 (-82) UK MONO + STEREO

A follow-up to the vol.1 (1960-64) and vol.2 (1965-67) samplers, here covering the timeline 1961-67. I get the same kind of  enlightening rear sleeve and very good audio. As with the two others it's a mix of classics - like Small Faces  "Sha La La La Lee", Marianne Faithful "As Tears Goes By", Cat Stevens "I'm Gonna Get Me A Gun", Lulu And The Luvvers "Shout" and Them "Baby Please Don't Go" - and stuff by today maybe less know acts as Billy Fury, Eden Kane, Jet Harris & Tony Mehan and Tornados. "I Want Candy", "Jealousy", "Globetrotter", "To Whom It Concerns", "As Tears Go By", "Forget-Me-Not", "Baby Please Don't Go" and "Scarlett O'Hara" comes in mono, the rest stereo. Like with the other two this can be bought at a very reasonable price if you find the right bin.  So for a not that wealthy rock archeologist, who loves digging out artefacts from the sixties and get them on LP, the whole serie is a delight ensuring many pleasant sittings in the listening chair. This was also released in Germany on Decca and Downunder on Rainbow (RLP 499088). I don't know of any other issues. UK came with label as shown here in a thin fully laminated cover.  (SÄM*)
