THE DECCA ORIGINALS/VOL.2 1965-69 TAB 47 (-82) UK MONO + STEREO

Part two of the Decca sampler serie of which I posted the first recently. It has the same sensible rear sleeve with pics and various info, but while part one to the larger part contained oldies that today probably only are embraced by us who was there and then, this is mainly a collection of still cuddled classic numbers from acts like Honeybus, Small Faces, Them, Marianne Faithful, Cat Stevens, Lulu and Chris Andrews. You also get one-off hits from short lived bands as Pinkertons Assorted Colours, Warm Sounds and The Casuals. All conveyed by legit mixes - "Little Things", "Mirror Mirror", "All Or Nothing", "Birds And Bees", "In Thoughts Of You", "Leave A Little Love" and "Yesterday Man" comes in mono, the rest stereo (though The Casuals "Jasmine" is noted as mono and Lulu "Leave A Little Love" as stereo on label and sleeve). I truly like the audio - not embellished by modern standards in any way, but just as it was. Very good listening all though. favorite track - Honeybus "I Can't Let Maggie Go".  1982 releases also in Germany, Holland and Downunder. First UK had label as shown here in a thin fully laminated cover.  (SÄM*)
