EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER 6339 026 (-70) GERMANY

  One member each from King Crimson, Nice and Atomic Rooster got together and produced one of the best debute albums ever. I've always loved that almost perfect blend of melody and mystery, both innovative and catchy. Today I'm more into the melodic pieces, yet still need the adventurous parts for the balance. Had a UK original for ages and always liked the audio and presence of that, but never too keen on the package - a thin brittle sleeve with some art work and that's it.  https://monolover.blogspot.com/2012/07/emerson-lake-palmer-ilps-9132-70.html . I just don't think it's good enough for the music. But this German certainly is. A fully laminated fold/out cover with a large colour image of the trio inside. This also has very good audio, but to my ears the UK comes out a tiny bit clearer with somewhat better separation...not much, but it's there. So the UK for listening and the German for the lavish package. I'm feeling blessed to have found both.  (GÖXÄ*)  (ÄPY*)
