JODO/GUTS DL 75268 (-70) US

One-off from a shortlived UK heavy blues rock band who's origin and carreer for many years remained virtually unknown by even the most hard-core rock fans, but thanks to this page https://aftersabbath.blogspot.com/2014/05/jodo-and-guts-interview.html now have a chance to get recognized. Too many interesting details for this format so for everything around the band I refer to that. This has every right to be called a lost gem. A very well produced and performed  LP recorded at a time when heavy blues started to change into hard rock. All cuts self penned and you get a lot of both heavy and hard here, but also prog elements, psych vibes and quite a few catchy moments. Recorded at De Lane Lea Studios in London (where about every prominent British artist recorded back then - as Beatles, Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Who and Pink Floyd). Produced by Derek Lawrence (who also worked with Jethro Tull, Pretty Things and Deep Purple among others). But in spite of all the above for some reason never issued in Britain.  On vinyl just in US and New Zealand (MCA MAP/S 5029). German 2007 CD on Lion Records (LION 197). The tracks create such an evenly good flow it's hard to chose absolute favorites, but adding the whole album below so You can pick Your own. Enjoy!  Premiere US had label as shown here in a laminated cover.
