After seeing this sometimes presented and sold as "mono mix" or "different", I'm doing a more thorough re-post to sort it out once and for all. I've compared the tracks to an early press UK stereo (-2U/-2U matrix), mimicking a fold down by using the mono button. The timing and balance for all shows it is a fold down from the UK stereo tapes. There is however a slight difference. The mono comes through a little bit louder and somewhat brighter, probably due to other routines for engraving - like less usage of limiters or compression. So this Brazilian mono isn't a different mix. The audio is very nice - big and clear, but there's only a tiny contrast to a UK fold down. Also issued as mono in Argentina (Apple 34-6018). I had one of those a while ago and that was a straight on fold down - sounding a little more compact than this with a darker nuance. First press came in the usual Brazilian wrapping with plasic covered sheets while the Argentie had thin laminated cover. UK box and book were imported to both countries and sold optionally.
