TEN YEARS AFTER/SSSSH DML 1052 UK MONO VS. SML 1052 UK STEREO

My fifth and last TYA format comparison. Though not expecting a separate mono mix feel I have to do this too to get it complete. And the mono sure sounds like some kind of fold to me. As far as I can hear all intros and fadeout timings coincide. When connecting the channels on the stereo I do get some miniscule differences in clarity and/or balance at a few places - like in "Bad Scene" where the vocals come out clear and separated on the mono while they sound a bit more stuck in the folded stereo. So I don't believe any of it was mixed separately, but maybe some grooming here and there was done to get the best out of the fold. Anyway both mono and stereo sound great each by itself - strong and bouncy with good impact. Very much alike, but the stereo has some advantages by being wider and thus a bit more generous to the ears. Issued and reissued on every possible format all over the world through the years. First US on Deram (DES 18029). Some premiere press UK:s came on the larger label, which these copies haven't, but they're still 1:st matrixes in laminated fold/out covers with die-cut hole and red/blue rim inners, so very early nevertheless.
