Her third solo effort, recorded after she met Björn Ulveaus, who also took
part in the production, arrangements and doing vocals on one track
- "Så Börjar Kärlek" (That's How Love Begins). A schlager album
with heavily orchestrated love ballads backed by Sven-Olof Walldoff's
Choire and Orchestra. Two of the songs self-penned - "Jag Ska Göra
Allt" (I'll Do Anything) and "Om Tårar Vore Guld" (If Tears Were Gold) -
while the rest are cover versions, some with translated lyrics. "Om
Tårar Vore Guld" became a large domestic hit at the time, but the album
didn't do that well. If you want it or not depends on how your position
is to very well sung and arranged languishing schlagers, or if you like
her as a phenomena, or just want everything ABBA. I dig that she covers
a Swedish song from 1892 - "Hjärtats Saga" (The Saga Of The Heart).
I've also noticed that there are people hearing some resemblance between
"Jag Ska Göra Allt" and the much later ABBA hit "The Winner Takes It
All". Not too obvious to my ears, but there may be something to it. I'm
not a collector of ABBA as a group, a comprihensive singles collection
is all I need, but I am interested in what the members did before it all
took off and this is pleasant piece of that puzzle. Released on vinyl
in Sweden only, reissued 1975 and 2017. 2019 EU CD on Sony (MOCCD
13738). Premiere Swedish had label as shown here in a thin fully
laminated cover. (FÄV*) (CCÖ*) (SCÄ*) (ÄBBÖ*) (ÄGFÅ*)
