HAWKWIND/GREASY TRUCKERS PARTY UDX 203 (-72) UK
For more on the album at large please check earlier post https://monolover.blogspot.com/2014/09/greasy-truckers-party-udx-2034-72-uk.html . This is just about the Hawkwind part, as captured on side four. Important since it was their first commercially issued live appearance, just after Lemmy Kilminster's debute in the combo. That should have some histrorical relevance, leastways for the zealot fan. To me, who fancy their early period, cruical since it shows the band as they were, almost untainted by later control room modifications... that's what I hear anyway. Audio tends to be somewhat muddy at parts, though all gets through just fine, powerful with a down-to-earth feeling. Not as well separated as their later live recordings, but if you attended any concert at that time, played by contemporary equipment, you'll get it. And I do - in my listening chair with my eyes closed on high volume I'm in the audience, enjoying an early concert by this legendary outfit. (LYBÖ*) (HÖWK*)
