ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS LPM-1707-C (-58) GERMANY

The early US press Elvis albums never hit Europe at first. England and France had their own domestic pressings, but most of the rest was made in Gemany - either on license for other countries or German issues for export. I was too young to rock at the time, but clearly remember a friends older brother buying every Elvis LP - very exciting with lustrous cover pictures and thick vinyl - all German export to Sweden. This was Elvis fifth album and first compilation. It has eight A-sides, five B-sides and one cut from his debute LP. So it is a golden collection with the best from his RCA years up to date - "Hound Dog", "Jailhouse Rock", "Teddy Bear", "Don't Be Cruel" and more. Among the most famous songs of the rock'n'roll era, possible to enjoy in any media today. This is the form I like best - first press vinyl, direct and natural. Shown here is the premiere German edition, having C-number and glossy "lined" label with "LONG PLAY" on top. It came on very heavy vinyl in a thin fully laminated cover. (FÖGÄ*)(ÄWY*) (GÖXÄ*)
