The first setting of Meck Mark Men was an eight piece, playing experimental jazz/prog. After the eponymous debute album, leader Mecki Bodemark left the others and re-formed the group simply by teaming up with free form psych band Baby Grandmothers - consisting of guitarist Kenny Håkanson, drummer Pelle Ekman and bassist Bella Linnarson (Ferlin). That totally changed the agenda and to me this is not as much Mecki Mark Men's second as Baby Grandmother's debute album. Heavy hard-core acid psych with flowing hammond organ, howling guitars and haunted vocals. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it is what it is.
