OLA & THE JANGLERS/PATTERNS GMG 1204 (-66) MONO SWEDEN
One of many Swedish sixties pop/rock groups. Not the most popular band domestically, but with a number of issues in other countries and healthy sales internationally. Early inspired by British acts like Zombies, Manfred Mann and Them, they subsequently developed a personal style, much relying on song writer Claes af Geijerstam and singer Ola Håkansson. First album "Surprise Surprise", mainly consisting of pop/r&b covers, sold well in Sweden and was also originally released in Germany, Italy, Holland and Argentina. This follow-up had the same kind of material, but didn't do as well. The production is less strict than on the debute and there's more prominent fuzz guitar and organ. Even if some of the songs can be described as cute, the overall treatment makes it a freak/beat garage album. Maybe today their least fancied LP, but to me the straight on recording and "being there" feeling makes it good. Audio is loud, clear and natural - sixties sound as it should be. Recorded and issued in mono only. German release on Metronome (MLP 15244). Premiere Swedish had label as shown here, very thick unflexible vinyl and thin fully laminated cover. SvaraRaderaHi Antonio!
RaderaDo You mean a link to listen, or a link to buy it? Sorry I can't give a download, but if You want to buy - try Swedish dealers. It is very rare, but I see it sometimes in the shops here. I bought my copy from this guy, maybe he has more of it...

The German Metronome LP is in stereo only, not in mono.
SvaraRaderaI did not know that. Thanks for telling. Is it a true stereo mix or rechanneled?
