One of many British compilations with Motown hits released during the sixties. This serie followed the US model in cover design and sequenze up to the sixth volume, but had different trackings with songs supposedly more fitting for the English market. The common benefit for all those mono collections - UK or US - is apart from enjoying the big hits you also get some very rare recordings in their first made analog versions and mixes. On here are songs from Rita Wright, The Elgins, The Contours, The Monitors and Barbara Randolph - tracks that can be almost impossible to get in original shape elsewhere today.
