After posting the Brazil mono and the somewhat later UK white label export the time has come to do something on the UK original. Without doubt Stones best live album - direct, raw and honest and just as sloppy as you wanted them back then. Widely spread all over the world through the years on every possible format so I'm not sure if this is the best sounding, but it is the original and that means something. In any case the audio is tophole here - wide, clear and revealing carried by a very fold friendly stereo mix (which explains why the Brazil mono comes on so great). If you wanna find an early UK press not only rely on the -1W/1W matrixes or even early mothers since Decca kept those for a very long time. More important is it should have thick vinyl, the cover fully laminated with purple rim on front (later blue) and the custom blue box inner with a 7-70 or 8-70 dating. Pristine originals are mostly sold for big bucks today, but if you don't crave mint and just want it decent and playable early ones still show up in the used bins at very reasonable prices.
