POP CORN/SVENSKA 60-TALS BAND TRS 11197 (-78) MONO SWEDEN

Depending on who you are and what you're after there's still chance to find gold in the cheapest bins. And for this guy who's always trying to dig deep and appreciate to get rare 45 cuts on contemporary or somewnat later LP compilations this collection of Swedish sixties bands is a true gem. Including both sides of Ola & The Janglers debute single - "Little Girl"/"Ill Stand By Your Side" - from when they where still named "The Janglers With Ola". Little Gert & The Streaplers 1960 recordings "Kentucky Waltz" and You Got What It Takes". The Lee Kings flip sides "Day Tripper" and "Gonna Keep Searching". The Mascots A-sides "Words Enough To Tell You", "Since You Broke My Heart" and "Stones Fell". I also get A-sides from the shortlived bands Yardleys and Moonjacks, who only issued a couple of singles each during the year or so they existed. Though the sleeve say stereo it's all glorious mono with very good audio. Lots of tidbits here, but if to choose a favorite it must be Lee Kings cover of Beatles "Day Tripper" - done as raw garage with brazen guitars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BNS5uo4Egc . To my knowledge this was Swedish only and never reissued in any shape. It came with label as shown here and thin matt cover. (SCÄ*) (CCÖ*) SÄM*)
