BEATLES/REVOLVER PMC 7009 (-66) UK MONO RM 11

Have to mention the 1:st press UK Revolver mono with re-mix 11 of "Tomorrow Never Knows" (Sometimes referred to as "take 11" but it's clearly not a different take.) The story about this is spread all over the net, so I give You the short version. When all was set with the new record and it'd already hit the printers, in the last minute George Martin changed his mind about the decided mix of the song and stopped the presses to replace it with re-mix 8. However a huge amount of records were already pressed and some of those escaped deletion and were sent to shops together with the new "official" version. It differs essentially from all later stereo and mono issues - vocals are higher in the mix, there is a LOT more effects all through and a longer piano part at the end. Wich you prefer is a matter of taste, but I find the later, official mono version, more appealing. It's cooler, and in that way more convincing - the withdrawn one is just too much. This rare re-mix 11 can be found on any original UK mono record with side 2 matrix (-1). If You haven't heard it - try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leP16fM3wsg (BÄ*) (PÖX*) (LGÅ*)
