JOHN MAYALL/CRUSADE LK4890 (-67) UK MONO
Mayall is starting a crusade here, a movement to enhance awareness of classic US blues and the old masters. But also against big parts of the commercial music industry. As his text on back cover says - "Radio and television stations everywhere daily churn out synthetic sounds while the musical papers relay the fairy tales and extol the virtues of performers only fit for the screams of children". Mayall was a true fighter for the old masters and their rights to decent pay and rewards. Many artists at this time stole inspiration and whole songs from the blues gigants, but Mayall was, and still is, one of the good guys. Released in US as stereo (LONDON PS529)-67. Don't know if it was originally issued in mono also, but the mono tapes were released on vinyl by Sudazed Music 2011 (LP5373). First UK with ridged label as shown here and laminated cover. (MÄH*)

There is s US mono version of this, and it sounds quite different from the UK one. Maybe my friend Aaron can chime in here...?
SvaraRaderaThat is intriguing - do You think one of them is a reduction and one the real thing?
