THE PLASTIC ONO BAND/LIVE PEACE IN TORONTO 1969 BTL 1010 (-70) MONO BRAZIL

If it'd been any other group or artists this would never have been released or sold. One side of Ono at her worst with unrehearsed backing and one with rather badly performed rockers. Only reason they pull it through is Lennon's vocals and the fact Clapton just couldn't fail, regardless of context. That said I must add it's a keeper. Part of music history and in a strange way enjoyable. Forget about star status and fancy productions. On this album we're all friends - for better or worse. To my knowledge Brazil was the only country where it had a mono release. Probably some kind of tweaked fold down, but very nice with live atmosphere and feeling. For some reason first press copies differ in treble. Some have a natural sound while others sound almost squeeky. They have exactly same cover, label and matrix so one have to listen to decide. Early press had label as shown here, wrapping as plastic covered sheets and glossy black inner. (BÄ*)(SÖMI*)(FÄV*)(LYBÖ*) (ÄPLÄ*) (JYZÖ*)
