THIN LIZZY/REMEMBERING PART 1 SKL 5249 (-76) UK

Very nice compilation with four cuts first time on UK LP and one previously unreleased - "Sitamoia" - with Gary Moore on guitar. Issued after the group moved to Vertigo in UK and obviously an attempt to cash in on their newly found success. I've seen many Decca collections like this with different bands during the seventies, some really bad, but this is one of the good guys. Besides having a few rare tracks there's also needed information about recordings and staff on back cover - just as it should. The audio is good - as most Decca issues at this time the stereo is narrow and pushing the mono button doesn't make much difference - plays fine anyway you choose. Favorite track - "Whisky In The Jar". First US on London -77 as "Rocker" (LC 50004). Reissued on UK London -79 (LAX 157) and as US CD 1998 with one bonus track (Rebound 314 520 513-2). There were also three domestic German Decca compilations released 1974, -77, -79. First UK with label as shown here and thin matt cover.
