HAPPY TO BE PART OF THE INDUSTRY OF HUMAN HAPPINESS IMLYIN 2 (-69) UK

Immediate signed many major artists in the sixties and got a large number of big sellers. But due to bad handeling of the economy, like not paying appropriate royalties, the label was crashing at the end of the decade. One way trying to cash in and rescue was releasing compilations. Apart from doing two Small Faces collections and stuff with Chris Farlowe and McCoys there was also samplers. Among the last ones - "Anthology Of British Blues" vol 1/vol 2 , "Immediate Lets You In", and finally this. It's not all fresh as four of the cuts coincided with the other compilations. They certainly had better stuff to flaunt than what's on here, maybe there was contractual problems or they just didn't care - I don't know. On the positive side - here's Fleetwood Mac's "Man Of The World" for the first time on LP, Humble Pie's "Cold Lady" - a nice song from the very hard to find "Town And Country" album (IMSP 27) - and two fine Amen Corner numbers. The audio is very good all through. Three of the tracks are re-channeled, the rest true stereo. First UK with label as shown here and laminated cover. (SÄM*) (YDÄ*)(SXÅH*)(FXÄC*)
