Originally a US ATCO compilation released after the group quit. It's OK, but could have been a lot more generous. The first US Fresh Cream album omitted "Spoonful" and replaced it with "I Feel Free", the latter '45 only in UK. This issue has both wich is appropriate. Also "White Room" has the shorter single edit here, but the rest seems to be the US album versions. So it's not the most exciting compilation in my collection. Maybe they already started to save for a Vol.2, but ten tracks only from such a great group isn't enough. With addition of let's say "Anyone For Tennis" and "Wrapping Paper" plus a few more odd mixes it would have been a classic, now it's just - OK. Essential for the die-hard fan or complettist, but not necessary. Premiere US on ATCO (SD 33-291). Australian issue (Polydor 184298) with original back cover pic on front and ad back.
