VELVET UNDERGROUND-WHITE LIGHT/WHITE HEAT VLP 9201 (-68) UK MONO

For more check post on their debute  https://monolover.blogspot.com/2012/04/velvet-underground-nico-vlp-9184.html  . This came even darker with worse audio, but that's how it is and an icon it is nevertheless with reports from society's darker sides to mostly monotonous tunes. Unique and groundbreaking in its own special way.  Reputedly the recording sessions were so chaotic and noisy the studio staff couldn't stand it and left. Producer Tom Wilson did his best with the results and somehow managed to get the record out. There are a few differences to the stereo coinciding with the US mono, so I guess the original one-channel tapes were sent and used in UK too. Although the mono is even a little muddier than the stereo I really prefer that. I mean - if it's bad it's bad and you can as well go all the way. First UK had label as shown here and laminated flip/back cover with a faint "skull" print on front. (YMÖ*)(ÄZC*)
