They were forerunners in the progressive and symphonic pop genres. The ostentatious approach and bombastic arrangements inspired many groups at the time - Deep Purple, Man and Genesis to name a few. Most of the album consists of covers of known pop songs, but so differently arranged it's more like re-makes. Had a UK stereo copy but did not like it, this sounds more right.
