Recorded 1967 with this mono mix as result. Due to turbulent times for the group they initially forgot to make a stereo mix. Just before release in 1968 this was remembered and a stereo version was rushed, partly made by some of the group members. To my taste that came out inferior to the mono. This is a great LP, but the two-channel mix don't allow that to show full out. Sadly by the time it was released mono was starting to phase out and it wasn't re-pressed as the stereo was. So this mono is the real deal and closest to the groups original intentions. Stereo has been re-mixed at different occations, but this is the only true mono version on vinyl. The nineties CD issue with both versions have the true mono while the stereo seems to have been re-mixed. If anybody reading this have heard the US stereo, I would like to know if that was altered in any way or the same as UK. First UK had structured label as shown here and laminated cover. (ZÖZ*)(YMÖ*)
