SAVOY BROWN/GETTING TO THE POINT LK 4935 (-68) UK MONO
A group that went through many line ups and a few style changes. The debute "Shake Down" was a collection of blues covers, rather traditional and different to their later stuff. On this they started to write their own material and getting a personal sound. It's good "white blues" pointing forward to coming success. As I've heard this was one of the last from Decca UK with two separate mixes (differences confirmed here https://monolover.blogspot.com/2015/12/savoy-browngetting-to-point-skl-4935-lk.html ) and this mono sounds just right with tophole audio. Issued in US as stereo only (PARROT PAS71024) with other sleeve design. First UK with ridged label as shown here and laminated cover. (SÄVX*)
