A Welsh blues rock band of the late sixties, fronted by Dave Edmunds who later would have a a successful solo career and further fame with the group Rockpile. Love Scultures biggest hit was a cover version of the classical piece "Sabre Dance", but this first LP is a collection of blues covers and songs like "Summertime" and "Wang Dang Doodle". I'm fond of this album for two reasons - Edmunds was a very skilled guitarist with a good voice and the mono audio is absolutely perfect. It's one of those where everything fits and leaves you calm and content. I know many say they don't care about the sound, music is the most important. I don't agree - sometimes a song or an album can get through to you just because it's so well recorded, produced and engraved it goes right to your heart.
