A Los Angeles group. Their first album "Spirit" (-68) is progressive and psychedelic and was successful in US, reaching #31 on Billboard and staying on the list for eight months. This second album is not that experimental, but still full of elaborated oddities and good performance, and it became an even bigger seller. At this time the group toured with Led Zeppelin and it has been said Page was a fan and got a few ideas from them for later Zeppelin prosperity - one exemple being Page using Randy Californias guitar figure on the instrumental "Taurus" (from 1:st LP) for later hit "Stairway To Heaven". This UK mono is s fold down from the US stereo tapes, not all bad but the stereo is better. First had structured label and laminated cover with sticker on back. (YMÖ*)
