TRAFFIC/MR. FANTASY ILP 961 (-67) UK MONO

After releasing three successful UK singles they recorded this debute, produced by Jimmy Miller. IMO it's a fantastic album, a classic, where every track is a winner. They're sliding between genres so easily with a bunch of very good songs and top performance. One of those oldies I still play through with a big smile. It's also one of the most rewarding for a mono lover. Probably the issue where mono and stereo differs most. Every track varies one way or another - solos, voices, effects, base lines, timing. "Giving to You" is not only a divergent mix, but another version. The US issue - sometimes named "Heaven Is In Your Mind" - (UAL 3651/UAS 6651) had a few songs in common, but was more a compilation of '45 tracks. Early UK with label as shown here and thin laminated f/o cover with flips. (ÖSÄP*)(TXÄW*)
